While our girls moved to safety in Poland and are now enrolled in the Polish village school, we still keep the doors of the Maple Leaf House open to families or individuals fleeing from areas under attack by Russian. We provide food and shelter to internally displaced children and families. As the crisis continues, NASHI is committed to upkeeping our Maple Leaf House and also our adopted home in Poland.
NASHI, as a gift to our girls, wanted to give them a special treat for their courage in the evacuation
to and acceptance of their having to stay In Poland. We launched a “Sea Campaign” to send them
to a sea resort camp to Croatia. It was a long day’s drive but they were so excited they could not
sleep for days.
Your generosity in donations was overwhelming. As you see in some of the pictures they were
absolutely ecstatic and had such a marvelous time. Nastya, one of our girls, thanked the NASHI
donors for this adventure of a lifetime and for continuing to look after all their needs. What more
can be said! Thank You.
NASHI believes education is the key to unlock the golden door of freedom. This is one of
the major goals of NASHI – to educate our girls. In the words of Nelson Mandela,
” Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
An investment in knowledge pays the best interest. The girls are attending the small
village school in Poland but they are also taking long distance courses from their village in
Ukraine.
When you see these smiling faces it is hard to imagine just how much they have been through.
Life before the Maple Leaf House was stressful and bleak. Thanks to our incredible donors, like
yourself, these girls are now on to healing and dreaming of a future. While the girls attend school
in the village, there are so many activities in the home. WELCOME into their HOME!
